CEO of Clorox
Linda Rendle is chief executive officer of The Clorox Company, Inc. (CLX) a position she assumed in September 2020.
During 20 years with the company, Rendle has held numerous senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as president, overseeing all the company’s businesses, corporate and business development, corporate strategy, and the five core global functions – Marketing, Sales, Product Supply, Research & Development and Information Technology. Previously, she was executive vice president – Cleaning, International, strategy and operations, with responsibility for the company’s Cleaning and International segments and corporate business strategy along with the company’s five core global functions. Before that, she served in a similar role also overseeing the Nutra next and Renew Life businesses. She began serving as senior vice president – Cleaning in 2016, when she also joined the Clorox Executive Committee, adding responsibility for the Professional Products business in 2017.
Other roles Rendle has held since joining Clorox in 2003 include vice president and general manager — Home Care and positions of increasing responsibility within the Sales and Product Supply organizations, including vice president of sales – Cleaning Division, where she helped to develop new strategies and growth platforms for the Laundry and Home Care businesses; director of sales for the customer supply chain; and director of sales planning– Litter, Food and Charcoal. Her career at Clorox began as a senior sales analyst on the company’s charcoal and insecticides businesses.
Before joining Clorox, Rendle worked for The Procter & Gamble Company, where she held several positions in sales management in the Boston and Charlotte markets.
Rendle is on the board of directors of Visa Inc. and the Consumer Brands Association. She also serves on the advisory board of Generation Thrive, a first-of-its-kind nonprofit hub created in 2019 by the Warriors Community Foundation and Kaiser Permanente to help nonprofit organizations and schools in the San Francisco Bay Area through education and wellness programming.
